Los Angeles, Is That You?

F. 797 056-2

It’s raining, and it’s pouring, and I couldn’t be happier! Not only do we need the rain due to the drought, but it is fun to get some actual weather. At least, when it only happens once every couple of years. The puppy is not nearly as pleased. She wants to go out and play and that’s not an option today.

I have attempted to tarp the deck, but lets be honest, it’s not really working. The wind blows and it all comes undone because there is no place to tie it down. Instead, I end up tying it down around flower pots that then skid (and/or fly) across the deck. It is a bit of a challenge, but I don’t care. I loved waking up to the sound of rain all night. There is something so soothing about that.

Of course, just in the time that I have been writing this, the rain has subsided, but we have been promised at least 48 hours of this, if not more. I’ll believe it when I see it, but for now I am just grateful for a warm, safe vantage point. Hope you are enjoying whatever weather you are having, be it sun, rain or snow. There is beauty to be had in all of it.

Love the rains like we’ve had over the past couple days. Unlike the light sprinkles we sometimes get here that make my van dirtier, this rain left my van looking fresh and clean. Nature’s car wash.

It has really come down hard. Was refreshing for a while, but I think I am ready for sunshine again.
