Although we used to go to Lake Tahoe all of the time, it’s been ten years since I’ve last been there. Tomorrow we are heading up there with friends, and no doubt with thousands of others, this being a holiday weekend, but I can’t wait.

As anyone who has read “On a Hot August Afternoon” knows, Lake Tahoe is heavily featured in the story. It is also the destination of a group of friends in another novel I plan on publishing later on, with the working title of “Fingers Crossed”. Tahoe is like an old comfortable sweater, it just makes me feel better.

For the girls, they don’t even remember it, which is actually kind of cool. I’m looking forward to sharing it with them. I’ll be curious to see if they love it as much as I do. We’ll be coming back on Monday so I can only imagine it will be an all Tahoe “Happiness Tuesday”. In the meantime, don’t forget that as of midnight tonight, “On a Hot August Afternoon” is free for the weekend. Shout it from the rooftops if you can because I’m not sure how heavily I’ll be able to promote this. My kids seem to feel I should step away from my laptop.

I’ll be tweeting this before I leave, but I would be forever grateful if any of you would copy and paste it to your followers, too.

#FREE Sept 1, 2 & 3 A great August read: On a Hot August Afternoon http://amazon.com/Hot-August-Aft …

Comply with the kids request and have fun. I’ll be sure to tweet starting tomorrow. I can’t wait to see the Tuesday pics. I hope to see something “familiar” from the book. I’ve never physically been to Lake Tahoe.

  2. Bridget I didn’t notice yesterday that what you posted above is cut off. This is my tweet
