I missed my own holiday! Can you believe that? Last year, I declared January 9th to be national “Lay Down Your Wand Day”. It was inspired by my first novel, Searching for My Wand, and the idea behind it was to take a day when you did whatever you wanted. It’s meant to be a day when instead of granting everyone else’s wishes, you just pamper yourself. But, I missed it, and because I missed it, you probably missed it, too. After all, it hasn’t exactly caught on, at least not yet.
I say next year, we prepare for it. Perhaps we’ll even have a parade. We can dress up as good witches and carry our wands before ceremoniously laying them down. In the meantime, happy belated “Lay Down Your Wand Day”.
Yes, happy belated “Lay Down Your Wand Day”. A brief parade that doesn’t tie up traffic too badly would be fine. Just no holiday for government workers–we can’t afford anymore of those and they get enough time off!
Wishing you well.
I think we should have a rehearsal for the holiday this year. You know, a sort of try-out! Happy belated Lay Down Your Wand Day! xoM
It’s a thought!
Happy belated! Put that on the calendar! Let’s see what was I doing Wednesday? Yeah pampering was totally out of the question but maybe if you had told me sooner I could have worked something in
