I read this tweet yesterday about a writing challenge from @trifectawriting and decided to give it a try. The idea is to read the 33 words given and then to continue the story with 33 words of your own, so here goes:
The last strains of sunlight lingered in the corners, grasping every available point of refraction. She slid her fingertips along the glass wondering if this was all there ever was. Or could be.
It wasn’t like her to be so melancholy and yet she couldn’t shake the feeling that her life was passing her by. Draining her drink, she decided to change everything about her life.
